Lamb Of God va bientôt entrer en studio afin de débuter l’enregistrement de son neuvième album. Cette information va à l’encontre de ce qu’a pu dire le groupe il y a quelques semaines en arrière. En effet, Lamb Of God n’était pas pressé de sortir son nouvel album. Cependant, Mark Morton a eu l’occasion de dévoiler de nouvelles informations dans le cadre d’une interview pour The Metal Teddy Bear Experience.
Le groupe a écrit de nombreuses chansons. Le processus est déjà bien avancé, mais il reste toutefois encore du travail à réaliser. Il précise également que le groupe partira en tournée avec Slayer en mai 2019, puis seul en juin/juillet 2019. Entre les deux, le groupe sera en studio pour enregistrer l’album. Une super nouvelle qui laisse donc bien présager une sortie pour cette année !
We are writing too. We got a bunch of new material, a whole lotta new song ideas that we’re sifting through. Pretty far along in the song writing process for the new album—not finished, but pretty far along. Touring coming up, we got a start of tour with Slayer in May and then we’re going to Europe in June and July and then we’ll be in the studio before that and after that, so it’s cranking. – Mark Morton
