Mark Morton, guitariste de Lamb Of God, annonce son nouvel album solo Without The Pain, qui sortira le 11 avril 2025. En attendant, il dévoile Brother, un single poignant en collaboration avec Cody Jinks.
Without The Pain : un album ancré dans le rock sudiste et l’americana
Après son premier album solo, Mark Morton revient avec Without The Pain, un projet qui marque un tournant dans sa carrière. Loin du metal de Lamb Of God, ce disque explore ses influences profondes, mêlant rock sudiste, blues et outlaw country. Il sera disponible le 11 avril 2025 via Snakefarm Records.

Brother, un single introspectif et bouleversant
En avant-goût de Without The Pain, Morton dévoile Brother, une collaboration poignante avec Cody Jinks et Travis Denning. Ce titre explore les thèmes du regret, de la réconciliation et des blessures familiales non résolues, porté par une instrumentation bluesy et des harmonies chargées d’émotion.
Mark Morton raconte l’origine du morceau : “J’ai écrit les paroles de Brother pendant une tournée de Lamb Of God. Plus tard, lors d’une session à Nashville avec Cody et Travis, nous avons finalisé la chanson en trois heures. Ce titre est profondément personnel et traite de la séparation familiale, un sujet universel.”
Un clip officiel accompagne cette sortie, illustrant avec intensité les thèmes abordés dans la chanson.
