Le Greenfield Festival est un événement célébrant la musique Metal et Rock. Chaque année, depuis 2005, le festival rassemble une foule d’environ 25 000 fans à Interlaken en Suisse allemande. L’organisation du Greenfield Festival 2019
L’organisation du festival est très bonne. Les horaires sont respectés, et l’espace est bien exploité. De nombreux stands sont disponibles pour s’alimenter et acheter des merchs. Le seul petit bémol concernant les merchs est qu’ils sont venus à manquer très rapidement. Le stock s’est écoulé en une demi-journée. Tant pis pour ceux qui sont arrivés après.
Niveau nourriture, ce qui est proposé est plus que décent. Néanmoins, il faut garder à l’esprit que les tarifs sont hauts, car le niveau de vie en Suisse est élevé.
Le festival est doté de divers stands mobiles qui proposent gratuitement du matériel bien utile comme des gourdes, des lunettes de soleil, de la crème solaire, des protections auditives, etc…
Niveau propreté, c’est aussi correct, car les employés chargés de nettoyer sont efficaces. On a beau être en Suisse, les festivaliers jettent tout par terre et le village devient vite une mer de déchets.

L’expérience VIP au Greenfield Festival 2019
L’expérience VIP au Greenfield Festival permet de profiter des avantages habituels d’une place VIP : un accès facilité au parking, aux toilettes, la possibilité d’avoir une meilleure place de camping, etc…
De plus, les membres VIP peuvent se rendre sur une zone surélevée, semblable à des gradins. Au final, ce type de privilège augmente considérablement la qualité de vie lors du festival. Néanmoins, pour vivre la musique, rien ne vaut d’être dans la fosse, ou à proximité de la scène.
La programmation et le running-order du Greenfield Festival 2019
Le festival est organisé autour de 2 scènes : la Jungfrau stage et la Eiger stage. Elles sont nommées ainsi en référence aux sommets montagneux à proximité, la Jungfrau qui culmine à 4 158 mètres d’altitude et la Eiger qui culmine à 3 970 mètres d’altitude.
Plus de 40 groupes ont joué lors de cette édition 2019, dont les têtes d’affiche Die Toten Hosen, Slipknot et Sabaton. Seulement 2 groupes n’ont pas pu jouer à cause d’une tempête survenue en fin d’après-midi le samedi : Me First & The Gimme Gimmes et Our Last Night. De belles surprises musicales
Le festival fut l’occasion de (re)découvrir certains groupes. Nous avons eu le plaisir d’être étonnés à plusieurs reprises, et avons donc décidé de vous faire une petite liste de recommandations, au cas où si ces groupes passent non loin de chez vous :
– Slipknot : Énorme énergie, et le nouveau membre de Slipknot assure !
– Amon Amarth : Grosse présence sur scène, et l’expérience est relativement unique.
– Eluveitie : Techniquement très carré, mention spéciale pour Fabienne Erni qui a un contrôle vocal hors pair.
– Behemoth : Le groupe a une puissante aura en live. Le jeu de scène est très charismatique, et les musiciens n’ont pas besoin d’user de nombreux subterfuges pour en imposer.
– Beartooth : Un maximum d’énergie.
– While She Sleeps : Dans la même veine que Beartooth.
– Zebrahead : Un groupe de Pop Punk qui ne paie pas de mine, et pourtant, les musiciens ont su mettre le feu en plein milieu d’après-midi, chose vraiment pas évidente. Un grand bravo à Zebrahead pour son excellente interaction avec le public.
– Tesseract : Pas de jeu de scène, pas beaucoup d’interaction, mais techniquement la musique est splendidement éxécutée.
– Underoath : Probablement le groupe le plus énergique du festival. Les musiciens sont absolument dingues sur scène. On sent qu’ils sont heureux de faire leur travail.
– Cellar Darling : Nouveau projet de l’ancienne chanteuse d’Eluveitie, Cellar Darling est un groupe de Folk Rock suisse qui rafraîchit l’atmosphère.
– Cane Hill : Un des petits groupes les plus méritants. On sent que Cane Hill donne tout, et ses performances sont super solides.
En conclusion, pour un prix relativement accessible, le Greenfield Festival propose une expérience de grande qualité. Les pré-commandes pour l’édition 2020 sont déjà disponibles ici.
The 2019 Greenfield Festival Experience (English Version)
The Greenfield Festival is an event celebrating Metal & Rock music. Each year, since 2005, the festival gather about 25 000 people from all round the world at Interlaken in Switzerland. The 2019 edition took place on 3 days, from 13th to 15th June, and around 40 bands performed.
Organization at Greenfield Festival 2019
The organization is really great. Schedules are followed, and space is well used. Many booths are available to get food and buy merch. Only downside concerning the merch is that the stock has quickly run out. No more shirts in about half a day, too bad for those who came later.
When it comes to the food, what is served is fairly good. However, keep in mind that prices are pretty expensive as the standard of living is high in Switzerland.
The place is full of several mobile booths, with people handing really useful items for free, like gourds, sunglasses, sun cream, hearing protection, etc…
When it comes to cleanliness, it’s also fairly good, because employees in charge of cleaning the festival are efficient. Even though the event takes place in Switzerland, people at festivals throw everything on the ground and the place quickly becomes a sea of waste.
The VIP experience at Greenfield Festival 2019
The VIP experience at Greenfield Festival allows you to benefit from all of the usual advantages of a VIP ticket : easy access to a parking spot, the bathroom, it offers you the possibility to have access to a better camping spot, etc…
Furthermore, VIP members are allowed to access a special elevated area near the stage, to enjoy the show from above. In the end, this type of privilege increase considerably the quality of life during the festival. However, to feel the music fully, nothing beats being in the pit or close to the stage.
Bands & running-order at Greenfield Festival 2019
The festival is organized around 2 stages : the Jungfrau stage and the Eiger stage. They are named like this in reference to two of the main summits of the Bernese Alps : the Jungfrau at 4 158 metres and the Eiger at 3 970 metres.
More than 40 bands played during the 2019 edition, including the headliners Die Toten Hosen, Slipknot and Sabaton. Only 2 bands have been canceled because of a storm that occured Saturday afternoon : Me First & The Gimme Gimmes and Our Last Night. Find all the bands and the running-order below !

Wonderful musical surprises
The festival has been the opportunity to (re)discover some bands. We’ve had the pleasure to be surprised many times, and decided to make a little list of recommendations if one of those bands ever come close to your area :
– Slipknot : Crazy energy, and the new member of Slipknot gives it all !
– Amon Amarth : Huge presence on stage, and the experience is quite unique.
– Eluveitie : Technically really solid, special mention for Fabienne Erni with her outstanding vocal control.
– Behemoth : The band has an insane aura live. Their performance is really charismatic, and the musicians don’t need many subterfuges to display their greatness.
– Beartooth : A lot of energy.
– While She Sleeps : Same thing as Beartooth.
– Zebrahead : A Pop Punk band that does not look like much at first, but the musicians have managed to gather a huge crowd and make the audience have a really fun time in the middle of the afternoon. That is really not something easy. Congratulations to Zebrahead for this incredible feat.
– Tesseract : Nothing fancy, not a lot of interaction, just plain well executed great music.
– Underoath : Probably the most energetic band of the festival. They are absolutely crazy on stage, and you can feel that they love what they do.
– Cellar Darling : This is the new project of the former singer of Eluveitie. Cellar Darling is a Folk Rock band from Switzerland that brings a breath of fresh air.
– Cane Hill : One of the most deserving small bands. Cane Hill gives everything on stage, and the performance is super solid.
