Le guitariste virtuose Paul Gilbert annonce l’arrivée de son nouvel album solo intitulé Behold Electric Guitar. Ce dernier est prévu pour le 17 mai prochain via Music Theories. Il s’agit d’un opus de 12 pistes entre Rock et Fusion, remplies de lignes de guitares expressives.
Un premier single du nom de Havin’ It est disponible à l’écoute ci-dessous. Paul Gilbert explique que cet album est brut, au premier sens du terme. Pas de couche supplémentaire, pas de fioriture, seulement 4 musiciens qui jouent ensemble dans une pièce.
There is not one overdub on the record. Everything you hear is four guys jamming, listening to each other, and making room for each other. The music almost mixes itself that way! And it’s just a great mindset to have. When you know that you won’t be fixing or adding parts later… It keeps your mind very active to get things right!
